In literacy we have really enjoyed the picture book Journey by Aaron Becker. Each time we looked at the pictures we were amazed to see something new. We wrote fantastic setting descriptions concentrating on exciting adjectives and different sentence openers.
In maths we continued to look at Place Value up to 100. We focused on partitioning numbers into tens and ones and used the < > = symbols to compare up to three different numbers.
In science we became zoologists and identified a variety of different footprints from animals and birds. We carefully measured the footprints in centimetres focusing on using our rulers accurately.
In DT we revisited our knife skills and cut a selection of fruit and vegetables into either halves or quarters. We also sampled the fruit and vegetables and most of us loved eating the watermelon but only a few of us enjoyed the celery!
We had a fantastic time on World Music Day and we really enjoyed making our musical instruments from the junk modelling.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
