What an exciting week we have had in Year One!
We focused on letter writing this week in literacy and created a thank you letter based on the book Dogger. We worked hard on our handwriting and produced fantastic pieces of writing that we were all so proud of.
In maths we began to look at 3d shapes and their properties. We enjoyed the challenge of creating 3d shapes from play doh although we found creating a square based pyramid quite tricky!
In science we looked at different objects to see it they would sink or float. We made predictions and then carried out the experiment. We found out that size does not determine whether things will sink or float.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
