This week the children shared the text 'Commotion in the Ocean.' They identified rhyming words and talked about the various sea creatures. They used the globe and World map to identify the position of each Ocean.
In maths the children have been learning about comparing lengths. They have looked at different ways to measure including rulers, metre sticks, measuring tape and cubes. We measured and compared the lengths of various classroom objects using cubes and measured them longest to shortest.
In Jolly Phonics we learnt three new trigraph sounds -
air, ear, igh and ure (three letters making one sound)
We are still focusing on recapping all of our Tricky Words to support our reading.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
