What the Ladybird Heard
This week the children shared the text 'What the Ladybird Heard'. They used masks and props to retell the story. The children talked about the characters and even created their own story maps.
In Jolly Phonics the children learnt the 'long vowel o' family tree consisting of diagraph oa and ow and split diagraph o_e.

In maths this week the children were learning 'one less' than a number. We used different techniques and resources to embed this new concept.
The children enjoyed a visit from Zoolab this week in honour of Science week. They all got to hold a giant African land snail, a Madagascar hissing cockroach and a North American corn snake. They got to look at a giant Asian forest scorpion and a white tree frog. The children massively enjoy when Zoolab come to Booker Infants.
