This week the children have enjoyed exploring their new role play areas: Santa's workshop, Elf headquarters and their Christmas toy shop. They have had fun writing letters to Santa and designing Christmas cards for their peers. We are so proud of the children's progress with Jolly Phonics. This week they completed step 1, learning the sounds er, ar. They continue to make great progress with their tricky word knowledge which helps to develop fluency in reading.
In maths this week the children have been learning one more and one less than a given number. They have begun to record their work more formally.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
