This week the children shared the text 'How to Catch a Star'. They used pictures to sequence the story and in their talking partners made story maps using pictures and captions. They looked at the painting 'A Starry Night' by Vincent Van Gough and talked about the techniques he used to depict images of the stars at night. The children used their creative skills to make their own painting of 'The Starry Night' which they displayed in the classroom.
In maths this week the children have been comparing numbers and using vocabulary largest and smallest to identify numerals and put them in the correct order.
