We have enjoyed another busy week in Reception. This half term we have been learning about 'Real Life Superheroes'. We were lucky enough to have a visit from a Police Officer to talk about their role and how they keep our community safe.
This week the children have continued to share texts from the series 'Supertato.' They have continued to talk about the characters using ambitious language.
In phonics this week the children have learnt the sounds ck, e, h. They have developed recognition of tricky words- was, of.
In maths the children have continued to develop their subitising skills using a range of different maths resources including number fans and number cards.
Finally, this week we were presented with the challenge to design and make our very own Supertato. The Supertato can sit in your kitchen at home and keep an eye out for any Evil Peas looking to cause trouble!
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
