This week we have enjoyed creating work around the book Dogger by Shirley Hughes. We have learned about adjectives and used them to describe Dogger.
In maths we have been looking at addition and subtraction word problems, focusing on key words such as more, less and fewer.
Year One enjoyed an exciting science experiment rescuing toys trapped inside ice balloons. We learned about Fair Testing and the purpose of having a control to compare our findings to. We used three different methods to heat up the ice - a hairdryer, a scarf and someone's gloved hands. We predicted that the hairdryer would melt the ice first, and it did!
In Art we learned about the artist Jasper Johns and created our own artwork inspired by this artist. We also used lego to print using primary and secondary colours.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
