Year One enjoyed a fantastic walk this week around our local area. We discovered the local features in our community such as Robin Hood's Stone and the post box. The books we are focusing on this half term all include the main character taking a walk so this will really help our children immerse themselves in the texts.
In maths we have continued to focus on place value and considered 'one more' or 'one less' than different numbers.
We really enjoyed tackling our first science investigation. We asked the question 'does the oldest child have the biggest feet?' Many of us thought this would be true but after drawing around our feet and comparing sizes we found out this was not the case!
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
