We have enjoyed starting our new book in literacy this week – The Tiger Who Came to Tea by Judith Kerr. We worked in groups to act out the story as a class with each group taking a different scene. We focused on key vocabulary within the text and looked them up in the dictionary to identify the definition of each one.
In maths we have been looking at 3D and 2D shape, focusing on the names, some of their properties and ways they can be sorted.
In science we carried out a material hunt on the yard looking at the different materials used to make some of the features of our yard. In geography we headed out on the yard once again. We discussed the key features of the yard and noted the position of each of these features in relation to north and south on a compass.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
