This week the children shared the text 'What the Ladybird Heard Next'. They identified similarities and differences between this and the previous text. They used their creative skills to design their own 'Snerd' and thought of interesting words to describe it.
In maths this week the children have continued to develop an understanding of composition to 10. They have worked practically using tens frames and have written number sentences to record number bonds to 10.
This week was 'Science Week' and the children really enjoyed investigating to find out which biscuit was the strongest. This involved the children predicting the amount of 'dunks' it would take before the biscuit would break. The children experimented and found out the actual result. Of course each experiment ended with the children eating the biscuits!
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
