Why are our shadows moving?

We always consider weather and seasons in our science sessions. Today we investigated our shadows. We asked important questions like why do we have shadows? Are they always the same size? Are they always in same place? We went out to invesigate at different times and found that our body blocked out the suns light which caused our shadow and as the earth spins the sun appears to be at different points in the sky throughtout the day.
