This week in literacy we have continued to work on the book Aladdin and retold the story paying careful attention to sequencing the events in order.
In maths we have been looking at the difference between grouping and sharing numbers. We investigated equal and unequal groups and we really enjoyed the challenges of seeing how many equal groups different numbers can be shared between.
In topic we compared toys from the past with toys from the present and considered which materials were used in both periods.
In our science lessons we investigated the difference between evergreen and deciduous trees. We carried out a hunt across out playground and identified a number of different trees including sycamore, horse chestnut, ash and common lilac. We noticed that evergreen leaves tended to be thinner and more spiky whereas deciduous leaves tended to be larger and flatter.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
