This week the children shared the text 'What the Ladybird Heard Next'.
In Jolly Phonics the children learnt the 'long vowel u' family tree consisting of diagraph ue and ew and split diagraph u_e.
Jolly Phonics Tricky Words - Recapping all Tricky Words so far. This should be reinforced at home using your child's Tricky Word mat which is kept in their book bags.
In maths this week the children were recapping number bonds to 10. In addition to this, children looked at 3 ways to make 10. They used numicon and tens frames and counters to embed their understanding. This week the children also learnt all about number doubles and odd and even numbers to 10.
This week the children had a fantastic visit to Croxteth Farm Park. The children took part in pony grooming, animal feeding and pet handling. They all had a fantastic day out and we are so proud of them!
