We had a very exciting week in Year One. Laura from Teeny Tiny Theatre came, and we took part in a drama workshop inspired by Edward Lear's The Jumblies.
In Literacy we continued to work on the book On the Way Home creating a super retell of the story.
In maths we worked on our subtraction skills using number lines to carefully count backwards.
We really enjoyed creating an aerial map of our classroom. We used items to create a 'messy map' laying out items within the room such as tables, chairs and bookcases. We focused on using key words such as left, right, up, down, backwards and forwards.
The Christmas play rehearsals are now well under way and we are really enjoying singing the songs from the show.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
