This week the children continued the traditional tale 'Goldilocks and the Three bears'. They made a delicious big bowl of porridge by following a recipe, ensuring we had all the correct ingredients and cooking equipment. Afterwards they got to taste it. Firstly we tasted it plain, which seemed to be just right. After, we added some honey to add some sweetness, this was a big hit! Finally the teachers added a secret ingredient, lots said it was too salty!
In our writing books we wrote a step by step method on how we made the porridge.
In Jolly Phonics the children recapped diagraph oi and alternative diagraph oy
Recapping all Tricky Words from September
In maths the children have developed number recognition to 20. They made numberlines and matched numicon and cubes to numerals.
We used our creative skills to make bookmarks. We used a weaving technique to create a pattern using different materials. We drew our favourite fictional character at the back to celebrate National Tell a Story Day.
