This week the children shared the text 'What the Ladybird Heard'. They used masks and props to retell the story. The children talked about the characters and wrote simple character descriptions to create a wanted poster.
In maths the children have continued to develop recognition of patterns within 10. They have been introduced to number doubles and have started to build up rapid recall of their facts.
This week the children were very excited when a dog appeared in the classroom. It had a letter attached that said the children were to look after it and give it a name and home. The children then spent some time researching how to look after a dog. They have been walking, playing and feeding it every day. The children have even used their creative skills to build a kennel for it! Over the next few weeks as part of their Science activity they will be caring and finding out more about pets and what they need.
