We have started a new book this week in literacy called Clean Up by Nathan Bryon and Dapa Adeola and this text investigates the damage plastic is doing to our seas and the the wildlife within it. We have talked about personal responsibility and how we can help to keep our beaches clean.
In maths we have compared numbers within 20 using the greater than, less than and equals to symbols and continued to look at place value within 20. In science we have looked closely at birds including flightless birds. We considered the key features of a bird and looked at similarities and differences with the mammals we studied last week.
In Geography we looked at the variety of weather in the United Kingdom and discussed what the weather was like at the moment. We created wind streamers to use outside and identify which way the wind was blowing.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
