Today we celebrated Liverpool Maths Party Day 2023! Liverpool Maths Party is an annual event where schools across the city celebrate the importance of Maths in our everyday lives. The theme this year was 'Maths through Books' so every class chose a Maths themed book! We started the day off with a special assembly where each teacher introduced the book we would be reading in class. When the children went back to class we had 'a book and a biscuit' and then we made fabulous crafts relating to both the text and Maths!
The books used today were:
Lifesize by Sophy Henn
Penguin Place Value by Kathleen Stone
The Perfect Fit by Naomi Jones
Ten Delicious Teachers by Ross Montgomery
Jim and the Beanstalk by Raymond Briggs
Ten Little Princesses by Mike Brownlow
Little Star and the Other Shapes by J.Y. Quinn
How Many Legs by Kes Gray
Shapes by Roald Dahl
We are the Shapes by Kevin Jenner
