In literacy this week we have been studying the book The Magic Paintbrush by Julia Donaldson which is linked to our half termly theme - China. We created fantastic character descriptions of the Emperor and used dictionaries to understand new vocabulary.
In maths we have begun to look at Place Value up to 50. We have been looking carefully at how many tens and ones are in each number and have been making the numbers practically using counters on tens frames and using Base 10.
In art we created 3d pictures using cardboard and paper to make tube towers inspired by work by the artist Samantha Stephenson.
In computing we were introduced to virtual BeeBots and we used our navigational skills to guide our BeeBots around a variety of different maps.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
