This week the children have have begun 'Jolly Phonic' sessions. They have learned the sounds s,a,t and have developed recognition of tricky words I, the. The children have used sound knowledge to write simple sentences using capital letters and full stops. They are developing the ability to write on the line with correct letter size and orientation.
This week we shared the story 'Supertato'. The children talked about and sequenced the story. They identified different characters and used expressive words to describe them.
In maths this week the children have developed their counting skills. They have been ordering numerals and finding missing numbers.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
