Fire!
This week the children have continued to share texts from the series 'Supertato.' They have continued to talk about the characters using ambitious language. They have used props and small world characters to re-enact the story and perform for their peers. In phonics this week the children have learnt the sounds r, m, d. They have developed recognition of tricky words- to, do. They have reinforced knowledge of writing rules, writing sentences from dictation.
In maths the children have used 5 frames to recognise and develop number patterns. They have been introduced to language- more and fewer.
The children have developed their understanding of 'Real Life Superheroes' and experienced a visit from the fire service. They had the opportunity to board the fire appliance and use the hose!
