This week the children have been using non-fiction books and powerpoint presentations to research and learn about pirates. They have written facts about pirates and designed their own pirate flags. In maths this week the children have continued to develop skills in calculation. They have developed rapid recall of number bonds and number doubles to 10.
The children were lucky to have a visit from Mrs Murthwaite this week. They engaged in a drama workshop that taught them how to be pirates and how to use props and language to enhance a story. The children all enjoyed the session and continued to act out stories in the class role play area.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
