We have had such an exciting end to this half term with a visit from the Hung Gar Kung Fu Club as part of our Chinese New Year celebrations. We really enjoyed watching the amazing performances and loved being showered in the lucky lettuce!
in literacy we have enjoyed a new book called Here We Are by Oliver Jeffers. This text was written for his baby son as an introduction to the planet so we used this to create our own fact file about the Earth focusing on the land, the sea and people on the planet.
in maths we focused on subtraction within 20 using tens frames and number lines to support our calculations.
We thoroughly enjoyed making our delicious healthy smoothies in DT and designed our own cups to match the recipe.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
