Bouncing Ball Experiment - April 2022
As part of a study of materials, 2P carried out an experiment to see which type of ball would bounce the highest. We compared a tennis ball, plastic ball, foam ball and rubber bouncing ball. 22 people predicted that the bouncy ball would bounce the highest whilst 6 felt that it would be the tennis ball.
We looked at the importance of fair testing and ensured that each ball was dropped from the same height onto the same floor.
We measured how high each ball bounced in centimetres using the measuring tape then created bar charts in our books recording the information.
