It's Christmas! - December 2023

There have been lots of excited children here in Year One this week. Santa and two of his reindeers came to visit us and he told us we were all on the nice list - even the teachers! We were very lucky as we got to spend time with the reindeers and found out lots of interesting facts. Did you know that reindeers can run over 40 mph and their favourite food is moss? We enjoyed a super Christmas disco in the hall and had fun dancing to lots of our favourite songs.

On Tuesday we took part in a Design and Technology day. Our goal was to design, create and evaluate a sleigh for Santa that included moving wheels. We found out that a wheel needed to be attached to an axle and the axle had to sit within an axle holder. Once we had made our sleighs we looked carefully at what went well and what we could change next time to make the design even better. 

We hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas holiday and we cannot wait to enjoy more exciting adventures in 2024!
