Being able to communicate is one of the most important skills we need. From communicating our needs, wants, thoughts and feelings, almost everything we do involves communication.
Makaton uses signs and symbols alongside spoken language to support the development of the understanding of and use of speech, and is used by over 100,000 adults and children to support their communication around the world.
By beginning to explore the use of Makaton within our school setting means that our school is accessible to everyone, including those who may find communication difficult.
