Fruit and Non-Fruit - June 2026
This week we were excited to start our new topic - Journeys! We focused on the book Journey by Aaron Becker which is a beautiful wordless picture book. We discussed how we could understand the story despite the lack of words and created our own wordless picture book focusing on our own journey to school each morning.
In maths we focused on position and direction looking carefully at quarter, half, three-quarter and full turns.
As part of our DT topic we started to look at fruits and non fruits in preparation for us making smoothies in a few weeks time. As a group we sorted a number of different foods into fruit and non-fruits depending on whether the item had seeds or not.
