Active Play - June 2024
In literacy this week we have continued to enjoy the book, The Snail and the Whale. We retold the story using our own words and focused on adding exciting adjectives and interesting sentence openers.
In maths we have been focusing on Place Value, concentrating on numbers up to 100. We have counted to and across 100, forwards and backwards beginning with 0. We have also counted and written numbers to 100 in numerals using the 100 square to support us.
In science we enjoyed looking at the story The Oak Tree and identified the five different types of birds that appear in this story. We used the RSPB website to listen to the bird calls and we identified the features of each of these birds.
We have been enjoying using the new equipment provided by the P.T.A. We have had lots of fun learning how to skip and use the stilts!
