In literacy this week we have been focusing on the book In Every House on Every Street by Jess Hitchman and Lili LaBaleine. We discussed our own houses and tried to use adjectives to help make our descriptions even better.
In maths we have been focusing on place value and looked at different ways to represent numbers up to ten. We identified that we could use the numeral, the written word, manipulatives such as cubes or counters and even drawings.
In history we used our baby photos to create a timeline of our own lives which included a key event from our life and the date when we joined Year One.
In science our topic is The Seasons and this linked to our music and dance lesson. We listened, and moved to, Vivaldi's Four Season.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
