We have had another busy week here in Year One! Alongside our Christmas rehearsals we have worked hard in literacy retelling the story of Six Dinner Sid. We created a mind map and a plan to ensure we understood the story arc and then finally retold the story. We focused on the sequence of events and enjoyed including details about the cheeky cat Six Dinner Sid.

In maths we have continued to work on addition and subtraction including comparing number statements.

We began our first Design and Technology lesson this week and looked at mechanisms. Our end goal will be to create a moving story book so we looked at ways we could make characters move. We created sliders to move up and down, and left to right.
