This week we created writing for the display outside of our classrooms. Using the book The Magic Paintbrush, we wrote our own version of the story but gave it a brand new ending. We cannot wait to share this work with our parents at parents evening.
In maths we have worked on our measurement skills using the rulers. We focused on accurate readings and worked through some tricky measurement problems.
We had fun taking part in the Science Week Ice Balloon Challenge. We had lots of ideas on how to melt the balloon including using friction, the sun, wrapping them in fabric and even using the microwave. We didn't win the school competition but we used lots of our science knowledge to help melt them.
In dance we were introduced to folk dancing. We learned some British folk dancing and we will compare this to some folk dancing from around the world in the coming weeks.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
