This half term our focus is on China. We began our lovely new book The Pandas Who Promised by Rachel Bright and Jim Field and created fantastic character descriptions of the little red pandas. In maths we have started counting in 2s using the number line to support our counting.

Taking inspiration from Marco Balich’s structure Tree of Life, we created a paper sculpture using a variety of paper shaping skills. We curved paper to make the trunk and branches, created zig zag shapes for the leaves and curled paper to represent the flowers. We carefully considered what we might find in a Tree of Life and many of us chose to include some wildlife too.
