In literacy this week we had continued to look at the book Peace At Last. We sequenced the story and retold it through the medium of drama. We each took different roles and focused on one small part of the story culminating in a class performance of the tale. We understood the importance of speaking clearly, not talking over each other and, if we were portraying a piece of the scenery, holding our position through the scene.
In history we were very lucky to have a visitor come in and talk about birthdays in the past. We found out that birthday parties were usually held at home, not a play centre; cakes were homemade not bought and party bags would only include some cake and a balloon. Thank you Mrs Fanning for talking to us!
