We have had a fabulous week in Year One! We started our first book In Every House on Every Street. We discussed our own homes and focused on using adjectives to describe our own bedrooms. We wrote a wonderful setting description i literacy continuing to focus on full stops, capital letters, finger spaces and letter formation.

In maths we have continued to work on place value up to 10 representing numbers using objects, numerals, words and drawings.

In history we used our baby photos to create a personal timeline - we were all very cute babies!

In science we investigated the four seasons and continued this theme into our music and dance lesson. We listened to Vivaldi's Four Seasons, focusing on the instruments we could hear in each piece and then moving in ways that would represent each season.
