This week Year 1 put their drama skills to the test by retelling the story Peace at Last. We definitely have some future actors in our year group!

In maths we continued to look at ordering numbers up to 10 with a final lesson looking at ordinal numbers. 

In science we looked at daylight hours throughout the seasons. We created our first pictograph to represent the number of daylight hours we often have in Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter.

In history we were very lucky to have Mrs Fanning come into school and talk about birthdays from when she was little in the 1960s. She talked about having parties at home rather than a play centre, enjoying homemade cakes and playing games such as hunt the thimble. We found out that she did not take home party bags with toys in them, instead she received a piece of cake in a napkin with a balloon.
