In maths this week we began our topic on position and direction. We focused on the important vocabulary such as left, right, quarter turn, half turn, three quarter turn and full turns. 

In science we revisited the story The Oak Tree by Julia Donaldson. We researched some of the birds featured in the book such as the woodpecker, the jay and the hooded crow focusing on their bird song and their appearance.

In history we continued to look at the explorers Christopher Columbus, Mary Kingsley, Matthew Henson and Dame Ellen MacArthur.
