As a result of suggestions made to the School Council and the help of Booker Flowers we have a range of house plants in school.
The plants have been rotated around the classes so children can research each one and find out how best to care for them. We have learnt how to look after a Peace Lily, a Castor Oil Plant, an Aloe Vera and a Kenia Palm. We learnt the best place to keep them, whether they like sun or shade, if they like a lot of water or a little and how to dust their leaves.
One of the things that works well is giving them a name and talking to them!
