Letter from Liverpool City Council
Today we raised £340 for Comic Relief with 'I'm A Teacher - Get Me Out of Here'!! Probably one of the most funniest things we have done so far!
Thank you for your very generous donations and thank you to the School Council for helping with the collection.
A BIG THANK YOU also to Mrs Cummings, Mrs Devine, Mrs Langley and Miss McGuinness for being such good sports! Yes, they did eat real insects!! And t Benjamin who stood in for Mrs Devine in the final task!!
Today Samia, Nicky and their friend Zara came to our assembly to teach us all about Ramadan. We learnt that Ramadan is the ninth month on the Islamic calendar and people do not eat or drink whilst it's light outside. After the last day of Ramadan a three day festival is held called Eid.
As it was World Book Day Samia read us the story of 'It's Ramadan Curious George' by H A Rey and Hena Khan.
Today we wore our wellies to raise money for Winston's Wish. For over 30 years Winston's Wish has been helping children and young people, whose worlds have been turned upside down by grief, find hope for a brighter future.
We raised over £270! Thank you so much for your very generous donations and thank you to the School Council for coming to school early to help with the collection!
Please click on the link below to a free 15 minute video that discusses the risks of the railway and how to keep safe.
'Arlo's Adventure' is a fantastic 'pick a path' rail safety book, written by one of Freightliners train drivers, Bessie Matthews. The book is designed to help you understand the risks of the railway, so you can be safe.
THANK YOU to all our children and their families for the fabulous donations to Children In Need this morning. We raised an amazing £576.53!!
Thank you to those children who kindly emptied their own purses into the collecting buckets! A BIG thank you also to the School Council who arrived early to help with the collection!
Thank you to all our children and their families for their very generous donations this morning to South Liverpool Foodbank. A big thank you also to the School Council and SNAG Team who arrived at school early to help with the collection and later helped to load the van.
South Liverpool Foodbank asked us to pass on their thanks to you - they were overwhelmed by the amount of food collected.
Thank you to Rosie and Violet from the RNLI Lifeguard Team who came to school today to talk to us about Water Safety. We learnt all abut the job they do and some very important messages that will help to keep us all safe! We know what the different coloured flags on the beach mean and how to float on our backs if we get into trouble in the water. If we see anyone in trouble in the water we must always ring 999 and ask for the Coastguard.
