Subtraction can be a little trickier for the children, counting backwards isn't as easy as counting forwards but subtraction can be done in a variety of ways by using practical resources and practical problems that can be found around the house.  With subtraction as long as the big number comes first it will work for your child.  Just remind your child to take their time when using a number line or any other resource to support them.
