This week the children read the story Superworm. We continued our Jolly Phonics learning three new sounds, i, p and n. We have used these sounds, alongside the sounds we already know to recognise initial sounds in words.

In Maths this week we have been learning about counting to 5 and repeating patterns.

The highlight of this week was starting Free Flow. On Tuesday, the children were introduced to all of the outside areas of each Reception classroom. They then enjoyed being able to explore and choose from different classrooms from their own. They were also able to have fun on some bikes and play round the racetrack.
