Book Recommendations 2023

RJ loved this story! They enjoyed looking at the shadows and guessing who the characters were!

1K absolutely loved 'The Best Diwali Ever' by Sonali Shah & Chaaya Prabhat. We immediately noticed who colourful and vibrant the book was and loved te celebration that Ariana enjoyed with her family. We loved Ariana's little brother Rafi and the mischief  he got up to! It started lots of conversations about our own younger siblings. Why don't you try it next?

Mrs Mailey recommends '50 Ways To Feel Happy' by Vanessa King.  She uses this book a lot with children in school as well as with her family at home.  The book is full of activities and ideas to help boost how happy you feel!

2B have loved reading the book Dragon Post by Emma Yarlett. We enjoyed opening the letters and finding out how Alex was getting help to care for his new pet dragon! Our favourite part was when the dragon ate 23 steaks and even half an umbrella! We loved the story so much, that we wrote our own letters as Alex, trying to get help from a dragon catcher! We definitely give this book 5 stars *****!

RF really enjoyed reading 'Farmyard Hullabaloo' by Giles Andreae and David Wojtowycz. RF thought it was really funny when the rooster woke up all the other animals with a cock-a-doodle-doo! We loved this farmyard book full of noisy animals making rhyming noises! We love to use this book to help us role play with our small world of the farmyard.
