This week the children continued their learning about traditional tales. They were lucky enough to watch a performance of the story 'The Wizard of Oz.' They used music as a stimulus to perform yoga moves to retell the story and in their writing made books using vocabulary from the story.
Following a request from 'The Friends of Calderstones Park' the children made a scarecrow to protect a new wild flower area. They were very impressed when they came to collect him and he has now become famous on their twitter page! Hopefully the children will be able to go and visit him soon.
This week the children have developed skills in counting in 2's and pattern making. They are continuing to develop skills counting backwards and in 1 less than a given number.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
