10th - 16th May is National Mental Health Awareness Week with the theme of Nature. There are resources on the school website with lots of ideas to enjoy nature. We chatted about how important nature was to us all in Lockdown. Our School Council spent time in their own gardens playing lots of games with their families - one called Dino-Hunt! We talked about walks in the parks and woods in the area we are lucky enough to live in. One member told us about the bird watching he did.
17th - 21st May is Walk To School Week. Children are encouraged to walk to school every day or if they need to come by car, to park a bit further away from the school and then walk. The class who has the highest number of 'walkers' will win the trophy.
Thursday 27th May will hopefully be our annual South Liverpool Foodbank collection - we are just waiting for them to confirm the date and then we will let our school community know what food items they need. The School Council will be socially distanced helpers with the collection on the day.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
