We have been working hard this week with lots of our work based around the fairy tale "The Three Little Pigs"
As well as writing stories our science work has been heavily based on the story too. We have been looking at materials and their properties and the suitability of them to build piggy homes. Bricks came out on top.
We then decided we needed to carry out the 'wolfy lung' test! To do this we built houses of straw, sticks and bricks. After, we discussed how to make our test a fair one. To make sure each huff and puff was equal we used a hairdryer to represent Mr B.B Wolf and his magnificent blow.
We made predictions and wrote up the experiment in our science books and 2D. Whilst we worked hard, we carried out our experiment as a class and had a lot of fun. All results confirmed that the most 'huff-proof' house was the brick house and the worst, the house of straw.
