Today in Science we looked at parts of trees and plants. We went to look at the trees in the school grounds and identified their roots, trunk, bark, boughs, branches, twigs and crown. There were no leaves as these trees were deciduous but we did also see some evergreen trees.
We saw how the roots had cracked the tarmac of the school path and made the surface uneven.
Back in class we looked at the different parts of a flower and disassembled a tulip.
We identified the leaves, stem, petals, anthers, pollen and sap.
Don't do this to your flowerbed at home!!!
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
