Update 9th September 2020
Under new guidance given by the Local Authority, we have re-assessed procedures and as from 10th September we will be moving to class bubbles. An updated risk assessment is being produced and will be online as soon as possible.
The Department for Education has released the guidance for schools to enable all pupils to return on a full time basis in September 2020.
We are using the current guidance to plan and organise for a safe return to school and will produce risk assessments that cover all aspects of school life. We will share the plans as they are developed and finalised.
We have now reached our current safe capacity of pupils as identified in our risk assessment. We do not foresee that we will be able to take anymore children before the Autumn Term begins. However, if this situation changes we will notify you. If you are a key worker who returns to work and requires a place please contact school. We will take your details and forward the request to the local authority. They are currently working on identifying other settings for children who cannot attend a bubble in their own school.
The current plan is for schools to expand bubbles to 30, thus allowing all pupils to return to school fully in September 2020. We will keep you informed of any guidance we receive from our local authority and the Department for Education that will facilitate this.
We are working as a school and with our juniors to plan for our September return. The current class teachers will support their pupil's transition to the next class during the first week of term. The children will receive a message via Dojo informing them of their new class and teachers. At this moment we do not have the information from the Junior School for our Year Two children but will be there to support them in September.
